Event
Sober Queer History
Inspired by the TV show "Drunk History" and the strength of the Minneapolis LGBTQ+ sober community, Gadfly Theatre Productions is proud to present "Sober Queer History." "Sober Queer History" is a night of historical storytelling and improv that sheds a necessary spotlight on LGBTQ+ history you've forgotten or never knew at all.
Storyteller Addison Sharpe is an actor, storyteller, and overall radical performing artist. On January 28th at Universe Games in the LynLake neighborhood of Minneapolis, they are taking us on a journey through queer history for this event, using their natural humor and love of queer community to spur them on.
Ally Rae and Denzel Belin will be using Addison's stories to create totally new improv adventures like only true improv artists can do.
This event is a sister event to our "Drunk Queer History" series, and is every but as fun and informative as the other side. Out & Sober MN will be on hand if you want to get involved with the local sober community.
Tickets are only $10, but this event is a fundraiser to benefit Gadfly's March Mainstage Play, "The Children's Play" by Sami Pfeffer,so if you'd like to donate more, there are options for that at ticket checkout. We will also be doing "pass the hat" at the event.
