Trio Tsuica plays café and dance music from Romania, Hungary, and nearby countries. The group began in 2010 with three musicians on violin, accordion, and cimbalomthe hammered dulcimers extra-large, east-central European cousin. In need of a firm foundation, the ensemble eventually added a bassist. Since Tsuica Quartet just doesnt roll off the tongue the same way, the ensemble became Portlands only four-member trio. Tsuica is a traditional Romanian brandy distilled from plums.

Paul Beck - Cimbalom
Brent Geary - Violin
Kathy Fors - Accordion
Peter Whitmore - Bass
