Artist Statement Writing Workshop
BURNAWAY's popular Artist Statement Writing Workshop is back!
Geared for emerging and midcareer artists, or those needing to fine tune their elevator pitch, the workshop will focus on demystifying the writing process, clarifying the purpose of a statement and what it should (and should not) include.
BURNAWAY's Executive Editor Stephanie Cash will lead the workshop, provide writing tips and feedback, and a peer-to-peer critique.
The workshop is limited to 15 participants. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
*To maximize time for in-class discussion and editing, participants will be asked to submit a copy of their current artist statement prior to the workshop. If you don't have one, we'll fix that!
WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 13, 11am-2pm
WHERE: MOCA GA, Education Center on the lower level
