Local songwriter Lauren Wahl weaves together thoughtfully written lyrics with beautiful melodies designed to invite the listener along a multifarious journey embracing connection and courage. Lauren, formerly a member in The Bluetail Flies and The Wild Rovers, is currently lead singer of Flypaper Blues and Simply Put. Simply Put features a diverse collection of modern-folk, singer-songwriter, and soulful ballads. Lauren's unique clarity of tone and commitment to her protagonists will tell her listeners stories; whether as complex as addiction or as simple as a crush, each song tells its own tale. Simply Put began when Lauren teamed up with Mariah Roberts, a lifelong fiddle player whose infectious love of performance and natural abilities effortlessly added another layer of character to Lauren's songs. With the addition of talented musicians Zen Perry (drums), Mike Kelly (bass), Justin Hambly (lead guitar) and Dylan Eodm (keys), Simply Put has become a powerhouse vehicle driving a beautiful musical narrative.
