Kairos: A Consort of Singers Spring Concert - "A Celebration of Earth Day"
Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Edward Lundergan presents its annual Spring Concert in celebration of Earth Day. The concert will feature Aaron Copland's majestic early a cappella choral work "In the Beginning" (with Tricia Lewis Agar, alto soloist). The concert will also include Benjamin Britten's delightful "Five Flower Songs", Brahms' beautiful, melancholy "Part Songs Op. 104" celebrating nature, Bobby McFerrin's beautiful "Psalm 23", written in honor of his mother, a lovely setting of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", arranged by our own Craig Fryer, and a set of Renaissance French motets about birds, beasts and bugs. Come join us for a wonderful afternoon of gorgeous choral music and celebrate Earth Day and spring!
