Mainstage Theatre Company Presents: New Musicals Masterclass
Participants will gain insight into what is required when creating a new, musical work. Students will leave with a better understanding of the collaborative and creative process, the steps and revisions musicals go through, from inception to workshops, to production. Led by the creative team responsible for PROM QUEEN (Segal Centre, Montreal) and RUMSPRINGA BREAK (upcoing Toronto Fringe,) Matt Murray, Colleen Dauncy and Akiva Romer-Segal will guide participants through a series of fun, hands-on activities which will be followed by a trip to the Toronto Fringe to see a performance of their show, RUMSPRINGA BREAK!
As this is a masterclass, it is recommended that participants have some experience with performance or theatre in order to be able to fully appreciate the subject matter.
