2018 Hanging Rock Polar Plunge
The 2018 Hanging Rock Polar Plunge, sponsored by the Stokes County Arts Council and Old North State Beard Club, will take place on Monday, January 1, 2018, with all activities originating from the Hanging Rock State Park Historic Bathhouse, 1790 Hanging Rock Park Road, Danbury, NC 27016.
Check in / Day of registration begins at 2pm, the Costume Parade begins at 3:15pm with "The Lake Plunge" scheduled for approximately 3:30pm.
First 100 participants to register will receive a Polar Plunge Scarf and Unlimited food / beverage. All other registrants will receive their choice of a Plunge hot/cold tumbler or towel, and Unlimited food / beverage.
Advanced Registration via Brown Paper Tickets is $25 per person, Day of Registration is $35 per person
ALL Plunge Participants must be 14 years or older.
Plunge Participants under 18 years of age must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian. ALL participants will be required to sign a Release & Waiver of Liability on the day of the event.
Prizes for Best Plunge Adult Costume, Youth Costume (18 and under), and Group Costume.
Music by DJ Tory Mabe
Beach Bon Fire, Heated Changing Rooms, and New Year's Day Fun!!!
The event will take place rain or shine, unless directed by Stokes Emergency Medical Services to cancel.
No charge for spectators, and food / beverage will be available for purchase for non-plunge participants.
