Cole Anderson, Piano

Cole Anderson and Siyuan Li will present a Midwinter Piano Festival on Friday, December 29th and Saturday, December 30th, 7:30 PM at Lairmont Manor. On Friday, Cole will play Earl Wild's virtuoso arrangements of Gershwin songs as well as the Mozart Piano Sonata No. 2 in F, K280, Clementi Piano Sonata opus 25, no 5 and Rachmaninoff Vocalise, also arranged by Earl Wild.

On December 30th Siyuan will play Schubert Drei Kalvierstucke, D 946, Chopin Barcarolle and Schumann Kreisleriana. Cole and Siyuan will also play a 4-hand piece, Four-Handed Phantasmagoria, written for them by composer Devin Anderson.

Dr. Cole Anderson was a recent Special Guest Artist for the Bellingham Festival of Music's Welcome Home Concert Series as well as Artist in Residence at the Baltimore International Piano Festival and at the University of North Dakota. This past fall he performed and taught at the China Ningxia University, the South China Normal University, Guangzhou University and China Qinan University. In summer 2017 he performed at the Ansefelden School of Music in Austria and at the Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Italy. Other select recent performances include the Mozart Festival at Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall and the Bellingham Music Clubs Night Beat Series and Gala Centennial Concert. Dr. Anderson has served on the piano faculty of the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival, is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Jackson College and is a Staff Pianist and Coach at University of Michigan.
