Where Cows Meet Clams is about community and protecting the places, people and culture we love by using local economic development, stewardship, succession planning and storytelling.
Four half-day training courses will be held to present an integrated picture of how stewardship, regulatory certainty, succession planning and marketing fit together to help grow a successful farm or forest enterprise.
Forest Stewardship Training:
Trainings for forest landowners or those interested in becoming forest landowners will be held February 23 and March 9, 8am to 1pm, at Camp River Ranch (Ranch House and Troup House 5, respectively), 33300 Northeast 32nd Street Carnation, WA 98014. The information presented will be the same both days, choose which is most convenient for you. Cost per person $15 and includes a box lunch.
Farm Stewardship Training:
Two additional half-day trainings will be provided for current and aspiring farmers. Trainings will be held February 4 and 25, 9am 2pm, at Oxbow Farm, 10819 Carnation-Duvall Road NE, Carnation, WA 98014. The information presented will be the same both days, choose which is most convenient for you. Cost per person $15 and includes a box lunch.
