Mozart's THE ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO
BxO presents Mozart's delightful comedy, in a new production directed by Rod Gomez. In Rod's words, "This production of Abduction will differ from other productions in that we aim to really highlight the central conflict of our female protagonist, Constanze, and in so doing illuminate Pasha Selim's humanity, which is an afterthought more often than not. She is at a crossroads - kidnapped and apart from her beloved for months, and at the point of losing hope that she will ever be re-united with her love, the West and her former way of life. But things could be worse as the eyes of the Pasha have found her irresistible -- and in his considerable attempts at gaining her favor, he shown himself to be far more than what was expected."
