Eco Gift Wrap Workshop
The holidays are full of joy and warm fuzzies, but they also bring loads of consumption and unnecessary waste. Since we know you did your best to shop sustainable and ethical gifts this year, why ruin them with tacky, plasticky, wasteful wrappings? Instead, join in for an afternoon of fun as we wrap our pile of prezzies with eco-friendly materials!
Faye Lessler of Sustaining Life will provide homemade beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to enjoy as she demonstrates different ways of wrapping up your holiday presents that won't upset Mother Earth. Make new friends while you discover the art of furoshiki, imbibe in a drink while dip-dyeing natural greeting cards, discuss holiday plans or sustainable living challenges over sheets of recycled wrapping paper! We'll be getting creative with materials that we already have on hand as well as sustainably sourced new materials that will add a special something to the presents under your loved one's tree this year.
All guests should bring along gifts that need wrapping as well as any materials they wish to use. Recycled and new materials as well as general crafting supplies will be provided by the host.
*Please note that there is a cat living at this venue and anyone with severe allergies should not attend.
