An Intimate Evening with the Lisa Leizman Dance Company
On a cold, dark winter night, enjoy a special performance full of warmth and light. The program is a celebration of the groups new home in the beautifully transformed space at 33 Hawley Street in downtown Northampton. The dance group, a long-time resident company at the Center, will present audience favorites "Spiegel im Spiegel," set to music by Arvo Part and "Evening Song," choreographed to music by Philip Glass in an extraordinary arrangement by Peter Blanchette, recorded by the Happy Valley Guitar Orchestra. The concert will also feature a new work, the amen of calm waters, with music by Ludovico Enaudi, created especially for this long-awaited and joyful occasion. The performance is followed by a festive dinner reception prepared by members of the troupe. Seating is limited, and is now sold out.
