Building into the Air: Sculpture - Unit 4

This two-part class will explore glass artist Dale Chihuly, make a collective faux Chihuly hanging sculpture, and individual abstract wire standing sculptures from a hanger, paint, and wood.
This unit will be four Wednesdays. Start saving clear plastic bottles and bring four or more to the first class.
Mish-Mash Hodge-Podge: Mixed Media Art - Unit 5

In art, mixed media is putting a variety of materials together in a creative, unusual and fanciful manner. So What will paper, yarn, glue markers and gems look like? Come and find out. How does a wall artwork made of popsicle sticks, buttons, paper clips, seeds, cardboard and found objects come together? Come and find out. If there is the time, well also try our hand at paper mache.
Glass Fusing: Slumping and Tile Glass Art Pieces - Unit 6

Explore the world of glassmaking, try your hand at making a glass tile, slumping bottles and more. Well have a visiting artist who makes animals out of glass. Its a hot class!
