Twenty years later, she returns to search for her photograph, inquiring among current and former bondage experts. Eventually, she locates the image (posed as a demure young girl named Andrea) haphazardly kept in a bondage-magazine archive. Lovely Andrea is a web of topicsSteyerl playfully addresses issues of post-colonial feminism, terrorism, memory and censorship at a spanking pace, all to the tunes of 1980s and 90's post-punk.
