Zen of Improv 2: Jumping Into the Unknown and Catching Your Friends with Pam Victor and co-teachers Jenny Drescher and Jim Young
January 29 - March 19, 8 Mondays
7:30-9:00pm at The Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St., Northampton
Fee: $176 + $20 book fee due at the first class
PREREQUISITE: Zen of Improv 1 or One-Day Intensive
REQUIRED READING: "Improvisation at the Speed of Life" by Pasquesi, Jagodowski, and Victor

This class picks right up where Zen of Improv 1 left off.  We continue to practice the ease-full approach to improvisation in an incredibly positive and accepting atmosphere that will build your confidence as you strengthen your skills and expand your improv toolbox. Our special focus in Zen 2 is on establishing a community of trust and confident risk-taking as we get more comfortable jumping gleefully into the unknown and selflessly supporting our teammates. Let's really dive into an exploration of "Who needs you most?" and how we can be of most service to the scene and each other! We'll use a bunch of short form games in order to practice gaining confidence, jumping gleefully into the unknown and "listening to our feet." Ready to get back on the joyride? Yay!

Teacher: Pam Victor
Co-Teachers: Jim Young, Jenny Drescher

About Your Teachers:

Pam Victor is an improv comedian, author, teacher, consultant, and nice person. She is the founder and Head of Happiness of Happier Valley Comedy, the heart of improv comedy in Western Mass, where Pam teaches The Zen of Improv to the best students in the world as well as bringing the power of improvisation to the workplace in the THROUGH LAUGHTER program.  Along with legendary improvisers TJ Jagodowski and David Pasquesi, Pam is the co-author of "Improvisation at the Speed of Life: The TJ and Dave Book."  Pam would probably like you.

Jenny Drescher is an improviser and facilitator from Canton, CT. As a founding partner at The Bolder Company, she teaches improvisation for business in the Hartford area. She has been improvising for 8 years, performs regularly in the improv duo BOOP! and is a member of the mainstage cast for the Happier Family Comedy Show.

Jim Young is an improv junkie who was first inspired to check it out by his three children, who are all improvisers. A graduate of the Zen of Improv classes, Jim is a regular cast member in the Happier Family Comedy Show and a Happier Valley Comedy board member and business consultant.
