RED Dress RED Ball
The Eureka Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is thrilled to announce its First Annual Red Dress - Dress Red Ball!!!
You may have heard of the Red Dress Parties in other cities such as Portland, Sacramento, San Diego and Chicago, and similarly, Red Dress Humboldts mission is to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS services.
The color red, found on the red ribbon, serves as a global symbol of HIV/AIDS. That symbol inspired the creation of red dress parties across the country. Red Dress Parties increase awareness about HIV/AIDS, challenge stereotypes, and raise funds to support needed HIV services. This serves as a powerful sign of solidarity and compassion for those of us affected by HIV/AIDS and a way to unite the crowd in one radiant theme. Red Dress Humboldt is a unique celebration that invites everyone to be brave, let loose, and celebrate impact. Our Humboldt event embraces the diversity of gender expressions. Guests are encouraged to challenge stereotypes by wearing a red dress or dressing in all red, whichever is comfortable for them, to symbolize solidarity with those living with HIV/AIDS.
The event is a night of music and dancing mixed with charity and fun, where all attendees and we mean everyone MUST WEAR RED, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
Please join us on Saturday, December 2, 2017 for an evening of pure fun at the Inn at 2nd & C, located in the historic Eagle House in Eureka to support the Redwood Giants, our local AIDS Lifecycle bike team who will be riding from SF to LA next June to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS. All funds donated will go to supporting ongoing services and awareness.
A sea of red will sway to the beat of pure fun for a good cause. And every guest will be delighted by food, drink, silent auction, music and performances.
This is a RED CARPET GALA! Be prepared to dress your best.
