Johnny Winter Foundation Presents: INSTRUMENTHEAD™ By Michael Weintrob Photo Book Release, Live Music from Paul Nelson and Christine Ohlman
Hosted by Factory Underground Studio in heart of the Arts District of Downtown Norwalk, CT, this unique music and art event being sponsored by the Johnny Winter Foundation will be an exciting personal visit with famed music photographer Michael Weintrob presenting his new award-winning photography book INSTRUMENTHEAD.
Guests will enjoy cocktails and tasty food treats while experiencing Michael's compelling photographic work first hand.
Live music entertainment for the event will include a special performance by Paul Nelson (Grammy Award winning guitarist protege of the of blue/rock icon Johnny Winter) and friends Special guests will include Christine Ohlman, the Beehive Queen of American Soul and member of the Saturday Night Live Band, and rock vocal powerhouse Ethan Issac of Edisun.
About Instrumenthead:
The INSTRUMENTHEAD collection is a surrealist look into the soul of a musician, not through their eyes as with traditional portraiture, but through his/her instrument. It began in April 2000, through a candid moment in a photoshoot with the Derek Trucks Band, which sparked an unprecedented art project, bringing together more than 500 musicians from across the globe over the course of nearly two decades.
Now available as a superior quality fine art book, published in 2017 by Magnet Bound Press, INSTRUMENTHEAD is the culmination of this visionary project. The hardcover book was printed in Italy on three different types of fine art paper by Grafiche Antiga. Measuring 11 x 15, the full color book shows musicians as youve never seen them before, with three different cover options, featuring 369 artist portraits.
Ten VIP tickets are being sold at $75 to include a personally autographed hard cover copy of Instrumenthead, and a guaranteed place at the event. General admission is free with a ticket.
