ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Roots en Route is an exciting multi-disciplinary arts festival celebrating Black History Month 2013 in Hamilton, ON, Canada. The festival places the spotlight on diasporic artists with diverse and shifting relationships to Africa highlighting rich cultural landscapes and histories while providing a platform for Black Canadian artists from various geographical and cultural backgrounds to present their work in one program.
ABOUT WESLI Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and charismatic band leader Wesli and his high octane driven band have created an intelligent, original and explosive cocktail mixing Haitian roots music with reggae, afrobeat, funk, soul, hip hop and rock. Wesli has been wowing crowds all over Quebec and Canada since 2008. A do not miss warm blend that will get people to dance, clap and whistle.
