The Mess
Annalise is clearing out the storage locker she shared with her deceased ex-husband when his recent partner, a young man, shows up unannounced. As they clash over the things Mark left behind, they contend with their contradictory memories of a man they loved and thought they knew.
The second piece in the immersive How We Are series, The Mess builds on the success of two sold out Toronto runs of How We Are in 2016. Winner of the 2016 Safe Words New Canadian Play Award and the 2016 MyTheatre Award for Outstanding New Work, How We Are was also presented in the DaPoPo Live-In Festival in Halifax (Oct 2016), and produced in the Kick and Push Festival in Kingston in July 2017.

Doors will open 15 minutes before the performance. Please note the performance will take place within a small storage unit and will run for 45 minutes. No latecomers will be admitted and there will be no re-entry during the performance. A member of the Front of House team will guide audience members to the storage unit, and an usher will be present throughout the performance. Audience members will be invited to leave any personal belongings (bags, umbrellas, jackets) in a secure location with a member of the Front of House team upon arrival.
