Scott Cooper & The Barrelmakers

Scotty & the Barrelmakers is a Santa Cruz-based jam band led by Bay Area veteran musician Scott Cooper. The band showcases Cooper's songwriting with jams that build in dynamics culminating in a big crescendo. Cooper is familiar to many through his gigs with the China Cats, Gary Gates Band and others. Cooper's first CD reached #5 on Relix magazine's jam band radio charts and his follow-up is set tobe released in the fall of 2015. For those who do not fear original music, fans of Tedeschi Trucks, Little Feat, the Radiators, Grateful Dead, Ry Cooder, David Lindley and String Cheese Incident will appreciate the band's songs, grooves and jams. The band included former Dark Star Orchestra drummer Mark Corsolini, lap steel genius Scott Walker, versatile veteran bassist Terry Shields, and pianist Lachlan Kane who also contributes original material and stellar harmony vocals.
