No Bees for Bridgeport
The old stockyards on Chicago's south side are the backdrop for this twisted tale of urban beekeeping. When a beekeeper in the Bridgeport neighborhood faces bee-phobia, politicians intervene with painful results.
No Bees for Bridgeport is a stinging social satire on old-school Chicago politics, urban farming, ethnicity and economic meltdown. It is written and performed by veteran solo performer Kestutis Nakas. 45 minutes.
There will also be two new works by exciting young Chicago performers.
