Part 2 Changes to the 2017 Code
There are quite a number of challenges in the changes made to the 2017 codes: these include glazing issues, minor architectural work that trigger major electrical work, lack of uniformity among plan checking, lack of training by installers, inspectors, and even architects. Session 1 covered the 2017 changes and challenges, Session 2 covers the changes for 2018 and how they impact design.
Learning Objectives:
1.To identify 2018 Green Code and Title-24 Changes 2.Identify the impact on current design made by the 2018 code changes 3.Identify coordination issues with all other disciplines due to 2018 code changes 4.Discuss what are headaches, cost impacts, uniformity, and consistency in plan check and inspections due to the 2018 changes

Dr. Saum K. Nour, is licensed a Professional Engineer in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical and practices in near 30 States. Fellow American Society of Plumbing Engineers, active in code participation, writing articles, and co-founder of Greenerade.com and blogs at Saums Blog. Dr. Nour is a frequent lecturer at USC School of Architecture ARE sessions as well as ADA. He was the founder of the Absolute Consulting Engineers in Newport Beach 28 years ago.
