Zoom
Zoom is a contemporary improvisation format developed in Australia by Jason Geary that celebrates language and rhythm in a way that creates a truly unique style of theatre. Often described as Birdman for the stage mixed with Murakami-style narration, Zoom has transfixed audiences all over the world. This original format has been performed in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Canberra, Wellington, Reunion Island and now for the first time - New York.

All we need is two improvisers, one drummer, an empty stage - and you.

Zoom will be performed by Adrian Burke and Addie Weyrich.

Adrian Burke is an actor, improviser and teacher based in NYC. He has worked with BET, VH1, Broadway Video and more. He is a member of the internationally touring musical improv team Charlie (charliemusicals.com) as well as a featured performer on the international improv team Passport. He has trained at UCB, Magnet, The Barrow Group, Atlantic Theater Company, and Boston University. Check out his work at adrianpierceburke.com

Addie Weyrich is a Philly raised, New York based comedian, actor, and writer. You can see her performing live with her two teams - Bronson (improvised movies) and Charlie (improvised musicals) - regularly in NYC. If in person is too much, check her out interrupting your Hulu show in funny commercials or in Season 2 of HBO's Crashing. Weyrich has been fortunate enough to have been mentored by many incredible teachers and mentors throughout her career such as Anthony Atamaniuk, Anders Fors, Jason Geary and Jill Bernard. She's also very grateful to have had amazing opportunities to perform on stages both nationally and internationally such as Upright Citizens Brigade (NYC and LA), Philly Improv Theater, Improv Iceland's Theatre, and stages at Improfest Sweden. Keep up with her at addieweyrich.com or follow her on twitter at @spagaddie_sauce or come to a show and have a human conversation??? She loves those!

Jason Geary is a founding member and former Artistic Director of Impro Melbourne and has performed with the company for the last 15 years where he has created and directed many long and short form improvised formats. His format How Bout This? has been adopted and played internationally. He has been twice part of the National Theatre sports Championship winning team and was Awarded best and fairest of the National Championships 2010. Jason has been teaching Improvisation for 15 years to both newcomers and experienced improvisers and is renowned for bringing the best out of his students no matter their experience and skill level. Jason has a passion for exploring the craft of improvisation, in all of its forms. Jason is a sought after teacher globally, he has taught in every Australian capital, Amsterdam, Seattle, Frankfurt, Wurzburg, Reunion Island, Hong Kong, Singapore, L.A, Stockholm, Rome, Milan and New Zealand.
