Q Morrow Songwriter Workshop

In this exclusive workshop NYC guitarist and composer Q Morrow will share his ideas on songwriting and music composition.

Topics covered will be:
-Putting music to lyrics
-Analyzing relationship between harmony and lyrics from songs from other cultures (Brazil, Spain, Mexico, India)
-Choices in chord progressions
-Applying a narrative arc to songwriting
-Effect on the listener of instrumentation, genre, and other stylistic choices

All levels of songwriters are encouraged to join us.

Originally from Caldwell, ID, Q has also lived and worked as a musician in San Francisco, CA and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. He is an active part of NYC's vibrant jazz and Brazilian music scenes frequently performing at world renowned jazz clubs such as the Zinc Bar, Cornelia St Cafe, and the 55 Bar, as well as performing at jazz festivals around the world.
