Presenter Bios:
Peter Pobjoy, P.E., LEED AP Chief Design Officer, Southland Industries
Mr. Pobjoy is responsible for the growth and direction of Southland's engineering resources in addition to leading the conceptual design of large and complex projects. Focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability, Mr. Pobjoy brings innovation to all aspects of the design. His experience includes the design of acute care hospitals, research laboratories, mission-critical facilities, institutional buildings, central utility plants, as well as hotels and casinos. Known for mastering the selection of systems ideal for the space at hand, he has provided numerous superior solutions for some of Southland's most successful projects, such as Kaiser Downey Medical Center in Downey, California, the M Resort Spa and Casino in Las Vegas. Mr. Pobjoy received a degree in both mathematics and mechanical engineering from Trinity College Dublin. He is a registered mechanical engineer in the State of California and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Center for the Built Environment (CBE), and the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB).
Terri Lee, CID, LEED AP BD+C Project Manager, LPA, Inc. With over 15 years of professional experience as an interior designer and Project Manager, Ms. Lee is responsible to plan, organize, and control the activities of the project team to best accomplish the successful completion of the project. She is also responsible for project administration from preliminary design phases through construction documents preparation and contract administration during construction. Ms. Lee is involved during all project phases to assure that the client program requirements, project budget, schedule, and quality control are delivered successfully. Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Interior Designers Institute, in Newport Beach, CA. Her past project experience includes, Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, CA; Southland Industries, Garden Grove, CA; Billabong, Irvine, CA; and CIG Financial, Irvine, CA
Amy DiCosola, LEED AP ID+C Project Coordinator, LPA, Inc. Ms. Di Cosola holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Interior Designers Institute, in Newport Beach, CA. As the Project Coordinator, Ms. DiCosola's responsibilities include strategic programming and space planning, detailed analysis of interior functional needs, and execution of the design through Construction Administration. Her dedication to the study and use of technology and sustainability in office spaces provides for a more effective working environment. Ms. DiCosola brings continuity to a project through the implementation of the final design decisions for the interior finishes, casework and furniture/equipment into the construction documents.
