a Play, a Pie and a Pint - Season 3
A third season of brilliantly casual theatre is served up alongside a pie (slice of pizza) and a pint (drink of choice) all for $15. A new one-act play is presented for three performances each week in March 2013 from 6.30 - 7.30pm at The Red Room, Society Hill Playhouse. Check the calendar for specific dates. All the plays are comedies.
TICKET SALES GO OFFLINE 2 HOURS BEFORE EACH PERFORMANCE. AFTER THEN TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.
March 6, 7, 10 (Weds, Thurs, Sun):
TOO MUCH OF NOTHING by Mark O'Halloran and David Wilmot. Presented by Inis Nua Theatre Company. Directed by Tom Reing.
"Two Dublin misfits ponder life, language and the little book of calm." March 12, 13, 17 (Tues, Weds, Sun): A BRILLIANT NOISE by David Vazdauskas. Presented by Iron Age Theatre Company. Directed by John Doyle.
"A new play imagining the comedic possibilities and historical consequences of a meeting between Tchaikovsky and Tolstoy."
March 20, 21, 24 (Weds, Thurs, Sun) :
SPACEWANG by Tom Wells. Presented by Azuka Theatre Company. Directed by Allison Heishman.
"Three comic shorts from acclaimed British Playwright, Tom Wells: 'Notes for First Time Astronauts', 'Spacewang' and 'About a Goth'."
March 26, 27, 28 (Tues, Weds, Thurs):
KYOTO by David Greig. Presented by Tiny Dynamite. Directed by Paul Meshejian. Featuring Kittson O'Neill and Kevin Bergen.
"A play about hotel rooms, sexual desire and climate change by the author of last season's hit play, 'Being Norwegian'."
