Beast Women Fall Series 2017
Beast Women is an All-Female Performance Variety Revue serving as a platform to showcase the best female talent in Chicago. The show features anywhere from 10-12 live performance acts consisting of a diverse assortment of genres including music, poetry, dance, performance art, spoken word, burlesque, etc. Each performer must first earn a spot in the lineup after passing through an audition process. They then receive approximately 5 to 10 minutes of stage time, with little to no props. Women are encouraged to display their passion, strength, freedom, and sensuality in order to help reveal the very things that make them the women they are today. The only demands placed upon them are to be original and be bold.
Beast Women highlights womens strength through performance. The show is an invigorating and stimulating experience that operates on a concept of revolving individual performances offering many comedic as well as dramatic interpretations. Variety is our strength. Entertaining and inspiring the audience is our goal.
Since the summer of 2007, Beast Women has worked vigorously to promote Women in the Arts through an energetic, playful, and fiercely talented vehicle of live theatre. The show has been on the road outside of Chicago a few times, showcasing a handful of ensemble members as well as local performers. Beast Women, has received extensive praise from various theatrical critics, and never-ending love and support from audience members. With over 200 performances and counting, Beast Women will continue their endeavor to help support Women in the Arts.
