Pseudoscience in the American Journal of Physics

David Roemer graduated from Fordham College in 1964 with a B.S. in physics and from New York University in 1971 with a Ph. D. in physics. He is a member of the Christian Speaker Network and is on the speaker list of The Shroud of Turin Website. His reviews and articles about science and religion have been published in the Church of England Newspaper, the newsletter of the Catholic Truth of Scotland, Spero News, OrthodoxyToday.org, and Sight Magazine.

Dr. Roemer's presentation will address the following:

1) Darwinism only explains the adaptation of species to the environment, not common descent.
2) Advocates of intelligent design and nonreligious dilettantes are inhibited from thinking intelligently and rationally about evolution because of anxiety about religion.
3) It is an error to think evolution violates the second law of thermodynamics, but it is a more egregious error to think evolution does not violate the second law of thermodynamics because of the sun.
4) Equation 4b in "Entropy and evolution" is an incorrect application of the Boltzmann equation for entropy.
