Oshima Brothers and Timothy Jackson Scott
Oshima Brothers, a duo consisting of brothers Sean and Jamie, have been creating music together their whole lives. The brothers are known for their powerful vocal harmony, joyous interaction, and skilled musicianship. They have been entertaining audiences throughout Maine for over 5 years, playing in living rooms, parks, concert halls, bars, churches and opera houses. Jamie, recognized for his virtuosic guitar playing, is also likely to add mandolin and foot percussion, while Sean is known for his warm vocals, percussion and smooth songwriting. The brothers will rock this stage with their undeniable energy and talent. Ken Gross host of Camden Librarys Coffeehouse Series says... "The Oshima Brothers are a treat! Their sibling harmony is true and sweet, as is their songwriting. Their presentation in concert is full of humor and confidence, and not only do they have great voices but their work with rhythms and lyrics are so in sync with each other that they are a joy to hear. It is gratifying to know that acoustic music has a new generation of devotees and is safely planted in the next generation."
Timothy Jackson Scott is a folk singer and songwriter, hailing from Milford, NH, concerned with carefully crafted music and the deliverance of a powerful performance. Timothy writes thoughtful and provocative songs and sings them with a passion you cannot ignore. His performance will have your complete attention, he is a quiet surprise. Timothy impressed us a few years back at one of Simple Gifts' showcases and was invited the following year to do a feature set. We are excited to have him back sharing the stage with Oshima Brothers.
