November LAI Luncheon
The San Francisco Shipyard and Candlestick are revitalized waterfront neighborhoods with a bold new vision that brings together the best of San Francisco. As an anchor to the visionary community planned to span the Southeastern waterfront, these two communities are planned for over 750 acres, including approximately 350 acres dedicated to parks and open space. This will be where creators, inventors, artists, thinkers, and visionaries come together to work and to live. New ideas will spark, stories will unfold, and new neighborhoods will come to life. Join us for a luncheon with Kofi Bonner, from FivePoint, as he discusses this urban development which will change San Francisco.
As part of one of the largest urban developments on the West Coast, the potential is extraordinary. What is being delivered at The SF Shipyard and Candlestick communities is something on a scale not seen before in San Francisco, with plans for:
Approximately 12,100 new homes Up to 4.3 million sf of R&D labs, office and maker space within an Urban Innovation District Approximately 420 square feet of community space Nearly 1 million square feet of retail
The SF Shipyard and Candlestick are new communities rooted in a proud past. It will be transformative by embracing all that this city does best. This is a story 150 years in the making, and it takes inspiration from the spirit of San Francisco.
