Tuesdays, 6.30-8pm The class is for beginners and experienced dancers that would like to take time to connect to the basics at a steadier pace. The class is fun and exploratory focusing on presence and awareness, enjoying being in the body and connecting with others. Using the classical structure we explore exercises at the barre and centre, finding a freedom of movement. In the centre there will be movements on place to find balance. The class builds up to turns, travelling through the space, and jumping and turning combinations. Mark is there to support your experience in an encouraging way and to create an environment that allows you to approach ballet using all your own life experience. The beautiful ballet structure is there for each dancer to get from the experience what they want and need, Mark works to guide and facilitate the experience, but views the class an exchange and communication through the body.
