How to Build Brains and the Connection between Intergeneration Trauma and Toxic Stress
Please join us for one day workshop,How to Build Brains and The Connection between Inter-generational Trauma and Toxic Stress, and the Role of Awareness in Healing Facilitated by Dr. Nicole Sherron and Kerrie Moore; RSW,MSW from the Palix Foundation. In this session, you will learn how brains are built: what kind of experiences promote healthy brain architecture, what kind of experiences derail it, and how these experiences get "under our skins" to affect learning, health, and social outcomes across the life span. We will also learn the effects of toxic stress and how it can lead to trauma. How epigenetics plays a role in intergenerational trauma. What is survivor brain and how do you help to heal the emotional brain. The all day session will also discuss, How to heal trauma through a cultural model. Why culture identity is important for resilience and the importance of spirituality in healing trauma -Check in 8:30 am , Workshop 9:00am - 4:30. Spaces are limited. Please register early.
