Described by The Deli Magazine as ruggedly pretty soulfully singing out pain, George Woods is The Hipster Romantic. A nationally touring Boston-based indie singer-songwriter, Woods writes fiery, infectious autobiographical music and brings contagious optimism and humor to his shows. Woods, with an "uncanny knack for allowing his songs to tap into raw human emotion (Vanyaland), combines "tasty and classy guitar work," and "a voice... like pure velvet" (Red Line Roots). Every performance offers an electric yet intimate show that is as dynamic as a solo act can be.
A staple force in Boston's music scene for nearly a decade, Woods is just off a 4,000 mile tour alongside That One Eyed Kid to support his album, I Am, fresh off the presses and available on iTunes and Spotify. The home coming show was at one of Boston's most sought after venues, the Brighton Music Hall opening for local legend and nationally touring artist Ruby Rose Fox. Currently planning a series of Mini-Tours to hit New England, the DC area, New York City Area, and the Raleigh NC area in the coming months so stay tuned!
Gentle Temper is Ryan Meier and Marion Earley, an ocean-folk duo with a blues tide from the bayous of Boston, MA. Marion and Ryan met while attending college in Boston and began writing and playing together in their final year. Their live sound builds on a sturdy foundation of lyrical storytelling & animated harmonies.
GT_ have opened for nationally touring acts LOLO, Bombadil, and 2014 NPR Favorite new artist The Family Crest. They have had the pleasure of performing at the annual Chikombuso Foundation for Widows & Orphans at the Jonathan Edwards Vineyard in July 2017. In September, they won 1st place in the Katrinas $1,000 Open Mic Challenge and will appear on the Gloucester television series Local Music Seen in the Fall.
Youd be hard-pressed to define Copilot. The Massachusetts-based group are made up of powerhouse vocalist Maggie Quealy, charismatic frontman Ry McDonald, bassist Austin Beveridge, and drummer Dylan Allwine. Together, Copilot arent so much making music as they are crafting an experience. Sure, you can call them Americana because of their twangy harmonies or even pop thanks to their danceable beats, but maybe nouns arent quite right. Adjectives, on the other hand, might do them justice.
In-your-face. Energetic. Powerful. Catchy. Melodic. Refreshing.
Versatile vocals drive the band: a soulful ache, a ferocious howl, a buttery croon. Instrumental camaraderie is important too: foot-stomping percussion, quiet guitar lines, twinkling rhythms. Copilots real talent lies in skillfully mixing and matching these elements to cultivate the perfect package of retro-pop goodness that does not just suggest repeat playings but demands it.
