26th Annual Oregon Book Awards

Join Literary Arts' annual celebration of the state's most accomplished writers in the genres of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, young readers, and drama.
Elissa Schappell will host the ceremony. Elissa Schappell is the author of two books of fiction, most recently Blueprints for Building Better Girls, which was chosen as one of the "Best Books of 2011" by The San Francisco Chronicle, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal and O Magazine, and Use Me, which was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway award, as well as a New York Times "Notable Book," and Los Angeles Times "Best Book of the Year" She is co-editor with Jenny Offill of two anthologies, The Friend Who Got Away and Money Changes Everything. Formerly the Senior Editor of The Paris Review, she is currently a Contributing Editor at Vanity Fair, and a Founding-editor, now Editor-at-Large of Tin House magazine. Her work has appeared in many publications including, The New York Times Book Review, The Paris Review, BOMB, One Story, GQ and SPIN. Her essays have been anthologized in The Mrs. Dalloway Reader, Cooking and Stealing, The Bitch in the House, The Drinking Diaries and Bound to Last, among others. She currently teaches in the MFA programs at Columbia and NYU and lives in Brooklyn with her family.

$50 - Patron ticket to the Oregon Book Awards Ceremony. This price includes premium seating at the Gerding Theater and a contribution to the Oregon Book Awards & Fellowships program.
