Yukon Nonfiction Festival: Pitch Sessions with Jen Gauthier
In 20-minute private sessions, Jen Gauthier will listen to your book pitch and give you verbal feedback to make it as strong as possible. Shell help you identify the unique selling points of your book and how best to express them to agents, publishers, readers, and media. Based on her knowledge of the market and the current publishing landscape, shell identify possible publishing prospects for your work.
Jen Gauthier is Director of Sales and Marketing at Greystone Books, a Canadian publisher specializing in non-fiction. Jen has overseen a number of bestsellers including Letters to My Grandchildren, by David Suzuki; Gut, by Giulia Enders; and The Hidden Life of Trees, by Peter Wohlleben. Jen serves on the board of the Association of BC Book Publishers.
Participants are asked to submit a one-page synopsis of their manuscript or book idea in advance. Please send to firstdraftwhitehorse@gmail.com as soon as possible.
