Cascadian Chorale: What Cheer!
The joys of Christmas are many and varied, as is the greatest of choral Christmas music. Some works here are favorites every year, such as "Carol of the Bells," Biebls sonorous "Ave Maria," and Thompsons introspective "Alleluia." Well also explore the late Renaissance in England, Holland, and Germany. And well feature our own resident composers Bern Herbolsheimer, Jeremy Kings, and Joy Porter, plus a new work by Vashon Island-based Charles Lovekin. Join this evening of joy and wonder!
Mateo Flecha: Riù riù chiù William Byrd: O magnum mysterium Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck: Hodie Christus natus est Heinrich Schütz: Ein Kind ist uns geboren Peter J.
