Can He Really Do That? The President's Executive Powers -- Ed Cabrera

In the current political climate it would serve all of us well to know how far the chief executives power extends.
Come to this engaging course and enjoy a fast paced and often humorous presentation about the limitations placed on the president by the constitution and established precedence.
You will learn about: the differences between executive orders and executive powers; about the President's appointment powers; the breadth of the executive branch: the growth of executive powers through history: and what checks there are on presidential power.
Events of the past year will be highlighted in our discussion to help us gain a clearer understanding of the topics.
Ed Cabrera is a veteran of 37 years in the high school classroom. His last 30 were at Atascadero High School where he coached and taught political science and economics.
