In Sovereign We Trust

Abandoning traditional sketch revue structure, In Sovereign We Trust combines elements of the critically-acclaimed Punchdrunk Sleep No More and the controversial Disney theme park ride Splash Mountain. The show expands beyond the confines of the stage and the constricting definition of the word "duo" by taking the audience out of their seats and around the entirety of the theatre itself.

Sovereign's first production, We Are Sovereign, was described as "unforgettable" and "nightmare-inducing," making The Upstairs Gallery's proprietors fear for the audience's safety. They've also been a regular feature at Red Rocket Comedy Hour at Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, and Graffiti at the Playground.

Individually, Mike Klasek and Clayton Margeson have carved out a place in the improv scene as veteran performers at iO (on pants dot com and The Late 90's, respectively). Directed by Brian McGovern (The Other Other Guys, Holy Fuck Comedy Hour), In Sovereign Trust will, at the very least, literally get you out of your seat for an hour.
