Headliner Bill Simas was selected - from several hundred comedians - as one of the top five East Coast performers in the 'Funniest Comic on the East Coast' competitions at Mohegan Sun Casino. Simas tailors his material to make a room full of old ladies laugh as well as a room full of bikers. People relate to his funny and truthful stories of life, from dating to marriage, parenting, divorced life, traveling, weight gain and loss as well as something as unique as having to use the rest room on a plane.
Simas started doing stand-up comedy in 200 at the Rhode Island Comedy Factory and has since been hosting at the 'Comedy Connection', performing twice annually at 'Catch a Rising Star' in Reno, Nevada, and headlining many benefits and fundraisers. Simas also created a successful show at Comix Comedy Club at Foxwoods Casino. He started by hosting the show, moved up to the featured act, and is now headlining his own shows. Simas also tours nationally, headlining every six months in Nevada.
Also on stage on November 11 will be Amy Tee, a great rising star comedian according to the Boston Globe, one who blends charming and playful in a winning combination, while dancing between stereotypes and reality. Whether she is performing in world famous comedy clubs, theatres, colleges, or at charity events, Tee's edgy but subtle approach provides non-stop hilarity from Los Angeles to New York City. Curve magazine dubbed her one of the "funniest lesbians in America," and she is a now a regular performer at the Boston Comedy Festival and on Sirius SM Radio.
The evening's third comic, Drew Dunn is praised for his quick wit and unique point of view, which has establish himself as one of the regions fastest rising comedians. Coming from a large family and being a young newlywed provides this comic with endless stories to entertain crowds of any age. Drews use of voices and accents always leaves audiences laughing and wanting more. Drew won the New Hampshires Best New Comic Contest and is the most recent winner of one of the longest running comedy competitions, the Beantown Comedy Riots. Drew was most recently featured in the prestigious Great American Comedy Festival in Johnny Carsons hometown of Norfolk, NE.
