Jeff Campbell and Korby Lenker
Jeff Campbells onstage experiences have taken him to coast to coast countless times and found him sharing stages with John Mayer, members of Counting Crows, The Grateful Dead, and opening for Train. After being crowned winner of Guitar Center's National Singer Songwriter Competition out of over 13,000 entrants, his 2013 EP Release, In Spite of Everything, produced by 6x Grammy Winner John Shanks, premiered at #1 on the iTunes rock EPs and singles charts, following a performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. Watch him strap an acoustic guitar on his back, board a public bus with 75 strangers, and traipse his way across the country. Heres a singer-songwriter who loves nothing more than the sound of his voice reverberating off a music venues back walls. Yes, this is Jeff Campbells life, and as hell readily tell you, it isnt so much a choice as its his calling. This is just who I am says the vocalist, impassioned songwriter and lifelong musician who with The Kitchen Sink, has at long last concocted the album that represents him at his core and is willing to do whatever it takes to feel the rush of human connection.
Korby Lenker Longtime East Nashville resident Korby Lenker returned to his native Idaho to record his 7th studio album Thousand Springs. Eschewing the standard recording studio, Lenker recorded his latest batch of songs in various places important to him as a child - the Snake River Canyon (see pic below), Craters of the Moon, and in a small cabin north of Sun Valley. Letting the natural landscape set the tone, he recorded during the day and slept in a tent at night. Then, after laying down the guitar and vocal tracks, Korby took to the road, adding more than 30 artists to his dozen songs, including Critter Eldridge, Anthony Da Costa, Carrie Elkin, Angel Snow, Amy Speace, Matt the Electrician, and many others.
Korby is the recipient of numerous songwriting awards - most recently a 1st place win at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriters contest (past alum include Gregory Alan Isakov and Liz Longley, to name a few). In March, NPR Music premiered the song and video he wrote and performed with Nora Jane Struthers Lets Just Have Supper. Korby tours constantly and has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Ray Lamontagne, Nickel Creek and many others.
In addition to his musical creations, Korby is a published author. His collection of short stories, Medium Hero, came out December 2015 on Turner Publishing and received critical praise from such variegated sources as National Book Award-winning author Tim OBrien, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and Kirkus Reviews.
