"JOY" Canyon Lake Choraleers
The CHORALEERS is a group of thirty five community members who present two major concerts each year in the spring and during the holiday season for Canyon Lake and the surrounding communities.
For this seasonal concert, director Lorilee Bajema has chosen songs that are jubilant, joyful and triumphant. This concert, simply entitled JOY!, is filled with familiar carols and Christmas standards. Classical composers are well represented too, a bit of Bach and Mozart, as well as Vivaldi's invigorating "Gloria" and of course Hallelujah chorus. (In fact, if you've sung Hallelujah in the past and would love to sing it again, now is your chance: Audience members will be invited to grab a copy of the score to sing it with the group.) There are songs from movies too, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Muppet Christmas Carol, and Home Alone. Some pieces will even feature other instruments like the harp, trumpet and flute.
The concert will also provide a chance to win very special raffle items during the intermission.
