AIAOC Lunch Program- Energy Storage Systems
Energy Storage Systems ~ An integral part of an energy efficient, sustainable home design, and a solution to integrating more renewables on our grid.
Energy storage is becoming the leading energy management component in a design of a sustainable home with onsite generation. The addition of an intelligent energy storage system allows for a higher self-consumption rate, time-of-use bill management, backup for resiliency, as well as a utility-interactive component that can stabilize the grid.
Learning Objectives:
Why is energy storage becoming a necessary part of an energy efficient home? What are the customer benefits of energy storage? Learn about design considerations of an energy storage system. Energy storage can help to gain buy-in from utilities and AHJs and are becoming a part of new building code compliance, as in CA title 24.
