Two time Independent Reviewer of New England Award nominated solo performer Jonathan Mirin of Piti Theatre Co. brings his new clown solo to the Shea! An American Clown in Paris, Sammy has to prepare his boss's restaurant for the evenings Grand Buffet. He does his best to follow the list of instructions but . . . its not easy being Sammy. Forty magic, music and happy accident-filled minutes later, the Grand Buffet will be served by our hero to an unusually adventurous group of children travelling abroad.
Plus Workshops: Workshop for Young Actors: ages 8 - 14 are invited to participate in a one hour acting workshop before the show to prepare them to become guests at the Grand Buffet. Clown is a Four Letter Word: A theatre workshop for adults and older teens designed to help participants: - be more present - have more fun - exhale - understand how to construct basic clown scenarios for amusement at home, in the office and onstage Jonathan Mirin has taught and directed theatre in the U.S. and abroad since 1998.
