Join us to salute four inspiring women who helped make this a caring community. They will join the YWCA Northwest Women's Hall of Fame at 4:30 Sunday, March 24 in Northwood Hall. This annual celebration is a highlight of Women's History Month.
Sister Brigid Collins (1918-1990), hospital administrator and social worker, will be inducted posthumously as the Legacy Awardee for women from earlier days who inspire today's women.
Contemporary honorees are: Melinda Shenk, founder of Marianne's House, a day activity center for adults with developmental disabilities that bears the name of her late sister Cyndie Shepard, founder and director of Compass 2 Campus that introduces thousands of elementary students to higher education and mentors them through 12th grade Vi Zurline, businesswoman, mentor for emerging women entrepreneurs and longtime supporter of women's athletics
