The Vicissitudes of Travel
Desperate to hold onto the brother she loves, "Sister" charters a tour through his brain surgery to "capture" him before it's too late. Climb aboard this multi-character solo show adventure through tangled neurons, misplaced subjective memories and visual art, to grasp the ephemeral ties of love that bind us all. **AFTER the applause stay for the TALKBACK
Although I have primarily been known for comedy, this show is definitely part drama and part comedy. I am so proud of this collaboration with the brilliant (Barrymore Award winner) Karen Getz. Please come to a show, bring friends, and share this e-blast. The show explores compromised brain issues, family, visual art, identity, and memory, and each performance will have its own unique flavor due to your amazing presence. "The playful magic in Blaine's ability to crisply inhabit an entire cast of characters may at first lead you to expect a Wonderland of her invention. But hold on tight. THE VICISSITUDES OF TRAVEL has the visceral drive of a fever dreamits final destination at once unforgivingly foreign, yet strikingly similar to the place you call home." -- Ken Youmans, Playwright
