Theatre Encounter Presents AESCHYLUS::FRAGMENTS
In this all-new collaborative creation, Theatre Encounter takes on the lost Trojan War plays by monumental Greek tragedian, Aeschylus. The familiar figures of Achilles, Patroclus, Hector and a pantheon of Greek Gods take on chilling new life in this enigmatic performance piece. Drawing on the Japanese expressionist dance style of Ankoku Butoh, and combined with live, experimental music and sound, AESCHYLUS: FRAGMENTS is a raw, physical exploration of the elements of war, honour, trauma and fragmentation.
Presented in an intimate gallery format at Theatre Encounters studio, the Abattoir @cSpace King Edward, audiences are invited to share the performers' experience up close and personally.
