David Berkeley's Studio Sessions #4 featuring Freddy & Francine
The Kitchen Sink proudly welcomes the fourth installment of David Berkeley's Studio Sessions series (pop up concerts by internationally acclaimed musicians in local artist studios) on Wednesday, December 13th. We'll be featuring the outstanding Los Angeles-based Americana-soul duo Freddy & Francine. David will also play a short set to set the mood. The studio will open at 7:00 with music starting at 7:30.

About Freddy & Francine:

"Foot stomping tunes befitting a New Orleans gospel choir." - Flagstaff AZ Daily Sun

"Freddy & Francine currently top my list...their vocals blend like milk and honey." - No Depression

With voices reminiscent of Aretha Franklin & Van Morrison, Freddy & Francine's songs blend Soul, R&B, Folk, and Americana with a modern, yet timeless appeal to all ages.  As individuals, Caruso developed a comedy television show with ABC and Ferris racked up 500 performances as Carl Perkins in the Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet.  Freddy & Francine have released 2 EPs & 3 full length records since 2008.  Their latest, Gung Ho was produced by renowned producer Todd Sickafoose (Ani DiFranco, Andrew Bird, Anais Mitchell) and featured members of Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright, and Andrew Birds touring bands. Freddy & Francine most recently performed at The 2017 Telluride Bluegrass Festival as well as Rocky Mountain Folks Fest as main stage performers.  They are recording a new EP in Nashville this fall" with producer Dan Knobler (Rodney Crowell, Roseanne Cash, Lake Street Dive) and plan to release it in 2018. www.freddyandfrancine.com

About David Berkeley:
Called a musical poet by the San Francisco Chronicle and praised for his lustrous, melancholy voice by The New York Times, Santa Fe-based songwriter and author David Berkeley has been a guest on This American Life, won the Kerrville New Folk competition and ASCAPs coveted Johnny Mercer Songwriter Award.  His most recent project is a novella of intertwining short stories and an accompanying album of songs, each sung from the perspective of the stories main characters. Its an incredible combination that, like most of Berkeleys art, manages to both break and heal the heart. Hear more at www.davidberkeley.com
