WCT presents "Fractured Family Tales" four new one-act plays directed by Nathan Flower
WCT presents its fall mainstage production "Fractured Family Tales" four new one act plays directed by Nathan Flower.
Unique tales of families fractured but not broken in one way or another.
Featuring: "The Prism" by Ed Friedman A look at how we perceive older adults in this country through the lens of culture of origin, economic class and gender. "Where the Sun Dont Shine" by Stephen Hersh: The post-apocalyptic tale of a family and their devoted handyman trying to live a normal life in a subterranean bunker. "Snow Angels" by Pat ONeill: A father and son reconcile the cycles of poverty and addiction when history repeats itself. "Alls Fair" by Jane Ann Valentine: Carrie wants to have a normal birthday dinner with her friends, but her husband Matt, has other ideas.
The WCT ensemble cast includes: Steve Allen, Dawn Brown-Berenson, Anne Glickman, Athena Glorius, Brenna Hughes, Lucas Kane, Erik Langner, Kurt Lauer, Tim McHale, Rahiem Wilson Morgan, Roberta G. Robinson, Dan Slavin, Wendy Temple and Lora Yuen.
November 17th - December 9th
For four consecutive weekends beginning Saturday, November 18th and running through Saturday, December 9th, WCT presents the world premiere of these unique one act plays at WCT - Westchester Collaborative Theater.
These plays were developed and dramaturged through WCTs ongoing workshop process enabling member actors and writers bring new pieces to life. There is limited seating available, so advance purchase is strongly suggested. Tickets are $25 general admission with discounts available for WCT members, seniors, students and groups of 4+.
The Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company located in Ossining, NY, dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to the community. It is comprised of local playwrights, actors, and directors who employ a Lab approach in which new stage works are nurtured through an iterative process of readings, critiques, and rewrites. When work is ready for production, they are produced for the public at our performance space.
WCT is committed to furthering theater arts in our community. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a recipient of production grants from ArtsWestchester and New York State Council on the Arts.
