This collectively created post-dramatic theatre piece emerges from an 8 month long research and creation period in both Erlangen, Germany and Montreal, Canada.
Traces don't paint a picture of the world. They do not guide us to something lying outside the traces, but to a world within themselves. They are the evidence of hope, loss, faith, charity, pain, and joy. Therefore, they need a vis-à-vis - at least one person who identifies and questions.
Looking back at the past that brought us here, we recognize cycles. How do we acknowledge and challenge these recurring patterns of humanity to navigate the present, while maintaining an awareness of our trace on the future? In a world with a past filled with violence and lack of communication, a new history can only begin when the old has been interrogated. As products of the old world, we attempt to shake it, and force ourselves to find new means of communication beyond the limiting language and structures we have depended upon.
