An Evening of Food & Fun with "Acid Trip" Author Michael Harlan Turkell
Vinegar doesn't get enough respect. Most people think of it only as a boring staple for salad dressings. This evening with Michael Harlan Turkell, author of the new book "Acid Trip," hopes to change your perceptions about vinegar forever.
Hosted by New York Times best-selling author Kathleen Flinn, this event will open your eyes to history and the power of vinegar in everything from everyday cooking to cocktails. You'll get a chance to taste 10 types of vinegar - including coffee, candy cane, fig, blackberry flavors plus top-shelf balsamic. Turkell will share the basics of making your own varieties. Plus, get tastes from the excellent recipes in the book, prepared by Flinn, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Your ticket includes a signed copy of "Acid Trip," food, vinegar tasting and beer, wine or a signature cocktail in a cool Airbnb apartment on Capitol Hill with a fabulous kitchen designed by Flinn's husband, Michael Klozar. Attendance is limited, so don't miss out! We're offering a limited number of couples tickets to allow the purchase of one book to share.
